Manual Therapy & Concussion

This recorded webinar is comprised of 3 parts on the use of manual therapy in comprehensive concussion management. Part one focuses on pertinent background information, decision making, examination, and evaluation. Part two provides a literature review, and part three reviews several manual therapy techniques that may be beneficial for this patient population.

Presenters: 

Kelli Baggett PT, DPT, OCS
Dr. Kelli Baggett is a Specialist Physical Therapist at the UCHealth Anschutz Outpatient Pavilion in Aurora, Colorado and Associated Faculty in the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Colorado-Anschutz. She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2016 from the University of Missouri-Columbia and completed the Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2017. She is a board certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist and a Fellow in Training in Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy at Regis University. Kelli treats a wide variety of orthopaedic patients as well as patients following lower extremity limb loss. She is part of the rehab team for the Osseointegration program at UCHealth.

Rebekah Griffith PT, DPT, NCS
Dr. Rebekah Griffith, The ED DPT, specializes in care in the Emergency Department. Dr. Griffith has received the Bob Doctor Service Award, Emerging Leader Award, and the Pauline Cerasoli Academic & Clinical Excellence Award. She holds a BA in Kinesiology and Physiology and a Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Colorado. She is a Board Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist and a Fellow in Training at Regis University.

Patrick Porter PT, DPT, OCS
Dr. Patrick Porter is a physical therapist with Intermountain Healthcare in Park City, Utah. He graduated from Saint Louis University with his Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2014 then completed the Orthopaedic residency through Saint Louis University and SSM Health in 2016. He is a Fellow in Training at Regis University. His clinical specialities include a variety of orthopedic diagnoses, vestibular rehabilitation, and concussion.
