Heart Manual Therapy for the Treatment of Cervical and Thoracic Pain

This presentation will provide attendees with an anatomical view of the relationship of the heart with the thoracic and cervical spine. The continuity of the connective tissues, neurology, and their influence on spinal and thoracic cage mobility will be explored. This presentation will provide attendees with a demonstration of an adjunctive treatment approach for patients with cervical and thoracic pain including: patient selection, evaluation methodology, prognostic variables, clinical reasoning, problem solving, and case studies. The presentation will be a lecture format followed by a demonstration of an evaluation and treatment of a subject utilizing this adjunctive treatment approach.
