This presentation will provide attendees with foundational knowledge of disorders of consciousness as well as valid assessment tools, evidence-based intervention principles, and a framework for therapy management of these patients in an acute care setting. Including: overview of terminology and anatomy for disorders of consciousness, evidence related to prognostication, assessment tools, evidence-based interventions, and a framework for developing a specialized team of therapists to perform serial assessments. The presentation will be delivered in a lecture format.
