What's in a Name? Differentiating the Dyspraxes

Praxis refers to the process by which intentional action is enacted on the external world. Dyspraxia refers to a disorder of praxis, but there is more than just one type of dyspraxia, and in this case "a rose by any other name" would NOT smell as sweet. Each presentation of disordered praxis requires specific supports. This presentation includes in-depth analysis of dyspraxic profiles and how to support individuals' ability to master their motor outputs and engage in activities of their choice. The presentation will include a review of the current literature, case studies, considerations for differential profile presentations, and differing therapeutic supports.
