Panel Discussion: Turn on, tune in, drop out: how can you embrace a healthcare counterculture in your practice?

We often think of healing as a science, but human beings are not just a collection of parts to be tested and treated.  As health care providers, we must recognize the wholeness of the individual sitting in front of us.  Hippocrates said: “It is more important to know what sort of person has a disease than to know what sort of disease a person has”. The APTA mission of "building a community that advances the profession of physical therapy to improve the health of society" suggests we need to get away from being a health care system to being a system for health.  In a Q&A format between the audience and speakers, this panel will explore some of these topics and a few others, depending on which way the wind is blowing…
